FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?
Currently, we are taking new patients.
If you are a new patient, we request that you call our office to schedule your first appointment. We will help match you with a clinician based on your need and their specialty area. Please let us know if you have a preferred provider that you would like to schedule with. Please have your photo ID and insurance card ready to send by text or email. We require this information before scheduling your appointment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW FOR MY TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENT?
You will receive an email and/or text reminder 24-hours prior to the telehealth appointment with a direct link to our HIPAA compliant video platform. We recommend that you test your internet at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. Feel free to call our office if you experience any difficulties - our staff is here to help!
WILL EVERYTHING I SAY BE CONFIDENTIAL?
We understand that your mental health treatment is the most private thing to you. We are ethically and legally bound to keep everything you say confidential, unless we have your explicit permission on a signed Release of Information form. The only exception to this rule is if you are a danger to yourself or others. In this case, we work as a team to keep you or loved ones medically safe.
CAN I DIRECTLY CONTACT MY THERAPIST?
Our therapists welcome email contact for routine, non-urgent matters. However, therapists are unable to take calls for emergencies or scheduling appointments due to typically being in session with another patient. If you have an urgent matter, please call our office; in case of an emergency, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. Administrative requests, like scheduling appointments, can be completed by scheduling online, or calling our office (M-F 9:00am-5:00PM) Please note that our therapists will return emails within 3 business days. Please remember Mindwerks Clinic cannot guarantee that your email is encrypted or HIPAA compliant when sending emails to us.

This amount will be billed directly to your insurance, and you will be responsible for the outstanding co-insurance or co-payment amount.

Copay and coinsurance amounts differ based on the insurance holder and plan type. Our office may be able to check your copay or coinsurance amount, but it can also be verified by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.
